CRIBCO Forest Products Ltd. (CRIBCO), a forest company wholly owned by the Wei Wai Kum First Nation, gives notice and invites comment on the Forest Stewardship Plan (FSP) amendment for First Nation Woodland Licence (FNWL) N2D. The geographic area of the FNWL (as indicated on the map) covers portions of the Wei Wai Kum Nation’s territory in the Heydon Lake and Pye Lake areas.

The FSP amendment is for the Heydon Lake area and describes how the licensee will meet legislated performance requirements as a result of the replacement of the Great Bear Rainforest Order (GBRO), to ensure management of resources other than timber.

A review and comment period of sixty (60) days is open for stakeholders, interested parties or members of the public to provide written input regarding the amendment to the GBRO content of the FSP.

Copies of the FSP can be viewed at the Capacity Forest Management Ltd. office, 1761 Redwood St., in Campbell River, BC, during regular office hours (8:00am - 5:00pm) January 18, 2024, to March 22, 2024, (excluding weekends and holidays) or online, under the Services tab at:

www.capfor.ca

Persons wanting to register their input are invited to do so in writing prior to March 22, 2024, when the review and comment period will expire.
