Scouts Canada is in the process of implementing a major revamp of its national program, calling it the Canadian Path, and to help 1st Willow Point Scouts transition to the new program, the Rotary Club of Campbell River, which is the group’s new sponsor, contributed $1,400 to buy Canadian Path Kits. Rotary Club President-elect (and fire chief) Iain Baikie (centre with blue shirt) took time out from the Campbell River Firefighters’ pancake breakfast to announce the donation on Canada Day where 1st Willow Point youths and adult volunteers helped give out Canada Day cupcakes.
