Campbell River municipal traffic officers completed a traffic stop on a vehicle operator who was known to be operating beyond the restrictions of his licence at 11:20 a.m. on Tues., Dec. 6.

The officer noticed the smell of marijuana when approaching the vehicle. Roadside sobriety tests were conducted, and as a result, the driver’s licence was suspended for 24 hours and 18 grams of marijuana was seized. This matter remains under investigation.
