Over a dozen vineyards, various breweries, cheese makers and chocolatiers were on hand at the 2017 Campbell River Daybreak Rotary Wine and Blues Fest by the Sea Saturday at the Maritime Heritage Centre.
Proceeds raised by the popular annual event allow Daybreak Rotary to continue its work within the community, helping fund various – and numerous – projects, initiatives, bursaries, exchanges and more.
This year’s wine representatives included Coastal Black Estate Vineyards, 40 Knots Winery, Northern Lights Estate, Jason Hyde Wines and many others. There were also numerous breweries on hand, including Campbell River’s own Beachfire Brewing and Nosh House, Phillips Brewery and Hoyne Brewing Company.
Food offerings were plentiful, as well. Thrifty Foods supplied tables full of deli meats, cheeses, fruits, vegetables and bread, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory was set up with chocolate covered strawberries and various other sweets and Natural Pastures Cheese Company out of Courtenay had a selection of their products available for tasting, as well.
Representatives from Metro Liquor were also on hand giving out samples and taking orders from guests who found their new favourite selection and wanted to stock up.
