The Timberline Senior Girls Volleyball team began the season with gold, winning the 30-team VIU Invitational.

After losing their first match to Yorkhouse of Vancouver, 23-25;25-27, the Wolves regrouped to win the rest of their pool matches against Nanaimo Christian, Oak Bay, and Brooks – all in straight sets.

In the play-off round, Timberline met Brentwood College and won 19-25; 25-8; 15-9, advancing to the quarterfinal against Ladysmith.

This was a very competitive match against a B.C. third-ranked AA team. The games were tight and Ladysmith fought hard. Timberline came out on top though 25-20; 27-25.

In the semi-final, Timberline found its stride and beat Notre Dame 25-19; 25-16.

That meant another match-up against York house, but this time in the tournament final.

Timberline had hoped to play them again as the team had grown so much throughout the tournament.

This time Timberline came out on the winning side, 25-20; 25-19. It was such a great match with long rallies and amazing plays.

The whole team played so well and contributed to the victory.

Second team all-stars went to Megan Turko and Tommi Corder. Brooklyn Reesor was a first-team all star and Sarah Chase was named tournament MVP. The Wolves are currently ranked second in B.C. in AAA Girls Volleyball.
