Special Olympics Canada has just announced the roster for the national team that will be headed to the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles, including Special Olympics BC – Campbell River basketball player Michelle Forberg (centre, above).
She will be part of the first-ever Canadian basketball team to compete at a Special Olympics World Games, as this is the first Special Olympics Team Canada delegation to include basketball, bocce, and golf. She and her team qualified through their gold-medal performance at the Special Olympics Canada 2014 Summer Games in Vancouver.
