Storm take series stranglehold with 4-1 victory Friday

The Campbell River Storm continued to Dominate in round #2 as they easily handled the Nanaimo Buccaneers with a 4-1 win, meanwhile The Victoria Cougars also defeated the Peninsula Panthers 4-0.

The Storm came out to three unanswered goals, one in each period by Alex Brewer, Josh Coblentz and Gage Colpron, before the Bucs' Billy Walter made it 3-1 on a power play at 18:37 of the third. The Storm iced the game with an empty netter by Dylan McCann at 19:24 of the third.

Three Stars for the Storm were Aaron Brewer, Gage Colpron and Keenan Scardina, for the Cougars vs Panthers Goalie Greg Maggio, Trevor Owens and Lane Vandewetering.

The next game – Game 4 –  is Sunday in Nanaimo at 7:30 p.m. where the Storm can sweep the series.
