Local rugby players from the Campbell River Athletic Association had their first taste of Spring competition last Sunday in Nanaimo.

The players were competing in the Under-9, U11, and U13 age groups . New players ages 7-13 are always welcome.

The youth schedule and info is available at www.campbellriverrugby.webs.com. or call club president George Cossenas at 250-202-0088.

The youngsters in Campbell River aren’t the only ones with a rugby ball in hand these days. The club invites older teens and all adults to play Touch Rugby on Tuesdays, 6 p.m., at Carihi Secondary (lower fields).

Former players and new players are welcome.
