The action was intense in drift car racing at Saratoga Speedway on Saturday.

Round 1 of Drifting and Drag Racing was held at Saratoga on Saturday.

A New event called Time Attack was also added on to the card on Saturday which saw David Clark take home the win in the Autocross style event.

The I.M.C.A Modifieds and the Dwarf cars were also at the Speedway on Saturday for a fun day, getting ready for their respective 2015 seasons.

The First round of Drag Racing saw 16 cars take part. T.J Dafse, Corey Sandirson, and Shawn Allen were the only three to get through the first round undefeated, with James Wilson and John Demon being knocked out early. After the rest of the pack was eliminated, Corey Sanderson in his 450 Horse powered 82 Chev and T.J. Dafse in his 450 Horse powered Jeep Grand Cherokee would meet up in the finals, with Dafse taking home the win, holding off Sanderson who lost his third gear early in the night.

Eleven Drift cars took part in the first round 1 of Drifting at Saratoga. The First round of eliminations saw Evin Moore, Callum Hayes, Andrew Ottoson, Sean March, and Matt Jefford all advance to the second round, winning their match ups quite convincingly.

After the semi-finals, Hayes, Moore and Jefford would advance to the finals; After Hayes took out Moore, Hayes would find himself against Jefford for the grand finals which saw a very tight battle with Hayes once again prevailing to take home the first round of Drifting.

Four Dwarf cars arrived on Saturday with one 10-lap main being awarded to them which saw Kyle Kennedy lead all 10 laps, holding off Matt May to take home the win.

Six I.M.C.A Modifieds also arrived on Saturday for their practice night. One 12 lap main event was given to them as well which saw Jeff May take an early lead and would hold on from there, taking home the short 12 lap main event.

Extra laps...The Monster Truck are set to return to Saratoga over the May long weekend.

California Kid and Rockstar will return to Saratoga to put on yet another amazing show. Last year we saw Rockstar hit one of the craziest jumps ever at Saratoga, flying over 40 feet in the air and landing on his roof on the front stretch.

Accompanying the high flying Monster trucks will be the I.M.C.A Modifieds, who are making their first appearance of the year, Hornet cars, Roadrunners, Crash to pass cars and the Bomber cars on Sunday, with Sunday being a cheaper night for all the fans.
