Sunday is Grey Cup day in Canada, but for a group of local boys, it’s all about soccer.
That’s when the Campbell River Youth Soccer Association hosts the U12 Junior Development Jamboree. Seven Upper Island teams are expected to take part in the jamboree which gives the kids an opportunity to play multiple teams in a fun and non-competitive environment.
Games run from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Pinecrest Park.
There will also be a bake sale fundraiser for the victims of the Haiyan Typhoon in the Phillipines.
