The Beaver Lodge Forest Lands runners race through the trails. Runners like these will participate in a new race this September and event organizers are asking the public to design the race logo.

Tie up your laces, as Campbell River is proud to announce the first annual Frogger 15.

This 15 kilometre Fun Run (individual and relay) will be a new event for 2013 and is open to running enthusiasts of all levels and ages.

To launch the Frogger 15, Greenways Land Trust and the City of Campbell River are inviting creative individuals to design a logo for the event, that will be featured on the souvenir race shirts.

“The goal of this contest is to select a unique Frogger 15 logo that represents the spirit of recreation and the greenspaces that provide us the trails,” said Erin Nowak of Greenways Land Trust.

On Sept. 21, starting at Spirit Square, the route will take runners along sections of the 25 km Greenways Loop trail system; including the scenic ERT and Beaver Lodge Forest Lands.

The City of Campbell River and Greenways Land Trust are proud to partner on this event and are members of the organizing committee.

Please submit entries electronically to Greenways Land Trust via e-mail (greenways@greenwaystrust.ca) or office drop off (#208 991 Alder Street) or call for more information 250-287-3785.

The due date is Feb. 28 and a prize will be awarded to the selected logo.
