A four-goal game by Jalen Price powered the KLP Construction Peewee A Tyees to an 8-6 victory over the Comox Valley Chiefs on Saturday at the Rod Brind’Amour Arena.
After the Chiefs opened up a 1-0 first period lead, Price quickly responded for the Tyees to tie the game 1-1, and then gave his team a 2-1 lead by the end of the frame.
Price would notch two more in the high-scoring exhibition contest. Jacob Hartley also led Campbell River’s offensive attack with two goals and an assist, while River Fahey also had a three-point game with a goal and two helpers.
The Tyees’ next home game is noon Saturday versus Oceanside Generals. On Sunday, the peewees travel to Powell River. On Feb. 9, 4 p.m., they take on Nanaimo at home.
