On Saturday the Dick’s fish and chips Campbell River Ravens peewee C lacrosse team faced Port Alberni in its final game of the regular season.

Port Alberni fought hard but the high flying offence of the Ravens was too much as the Ravens brought it home with a 12-4 win.

This win puts the Ravens in a tie with Saanich for first place with 28 points on the year.

Unfortunately, due to Saanich having a better record against the Ravens, their only loss all year, Saanich placed first.

The Ravens start the playoffs this weekend with a game in Fuller Lake Saturday against Saanich, and a game Sunday in Fuller Lake against Vic –Esquimalt.

If the Ravens can keep up their great record they could win a berth in the Provincials in mid-July.

Meanwhile, the Bantam B Ravens play their best-two-out-of-three playoff series against the Comox Valley this weekend down Island, on neutral ground.

And Campbell River’s Midget B and C lacrosse teams both play Saturday and Sunday games at Rod Brind’Amour Arena to finish out their regular season play.
