Mike Davies/Campbell River Mirror Top: Campbell River’s Madi Brett takes the high side of the last corner before gunning it to the finish line this weekend up at the motocross track. Brett came away with a second place finish in the Ladies race category at the Campbell River event. Above, Mac Holmes (272) tries to overtake Joseph Zacchinga on the rollers in Sunday’s Under 30 race. Zacchinga would manage to take the checkered flag in the end, just in front of Holmes.

The dust was flying and the engines were revving hard last weekend up at the Campbell River Motocross track as the Vancouver Island Series – North vs South round four went off under sunny skies and in front of many cheering fans.
