Anika Shelrud played Campbell River Youth Soccer, then Vancouver Island Riptide, until she enrolled in the Canadian Sports School in Victoria in 2013.
Shelrud signed with the University of Northern Colorado on Feb. 3, which was NCAA Div 1 National Letter of Intent day. She has played with Vancouver Island Wave of the HPL since 2012.
