Juniors wrap up bonspiel season

The Campbell River Junior Curlers played in their final bonspiel of the season in Parksville on Feb. 20, 2016.

With two wins and a tie, the Chamberlin rink was tied for first place overall, and it came down to ends won. Chamberlin came in second place overall by two ends.

On the Chamberlin rink was Skip Cody Chamberlin, Third Zach Baycroft, Second Greg Curtis, and Lead Madison Munro.

The other experienced team, the Belanko rink, came in sixth place with one win and two losses. The Belanko rink of Skip Dayton Belanko, Third Bryden Gudbranson, Second Curtis Belanko, and Lead Frankie Pellegrin.

Campbell River also had two teams in the Novice Bracket. The Baycroft rink came in fifth place. The Baycroft rink consisted of Skip Michael Baycroft, Third Anthony Belanko, Second Taanika McCune and a Lead from Parksville.

The Gudbranson rink rounded out the Novice Bracket with 6th place. The Gudbranson rink had Skip Adam Gudbranson, Third Alexis McMurdo, Second Katiana McCune, and Lead Matthew Harris.

The Junior Curling club would like to thank our coach volunteer Bill Thomas for helping out with the Novice teams on the ice during the bonspiel.

The Junior Curling program is wrapping up for the season on March 7 and starting up again in October.
