The Campbell River Curling Club hosted their annual junior curling bonspiel this past Saturday, with teams from all over Vancouver Island attending.

First place in the Novice Division went to Qualicum #2 team. Campbell River players Mathew Harris, Julian Soan, Coyote Mulholland and Andrew Paxon came in second place, followed by Qualicum #1 in third and Campbell River’s Katiana McCune, Mitchell Paxon and Mason Lambert came in fourth.

In the Experienced Division, Comox came in first followed by Nanaimo in second, Qualicum took third and Campbell River’s Greg Curtis, Cody Chamberlain, Dayton Belanko, and Zach Barycroft came in fourth. Campbell River’s other experienced team, Adam Gudbranson, Michael Baycroft, and Bryden Gudbranson also played some great curling.  It was a fun bonspiel with a great meal provided by Sybil, Brian, Leena and Missy of Brian’s Cafe.
