Gymnasts shine at Delta Invitational

The Campbell River Gymnastics Association brought home 26 medals and two all-around champs from the recent Delta Invitational.

Here are the results:

Provincial Level 1 Argo: Isabella Michael won the gold medal with a solid bar routine, took the sixth place ribbon on vault, placed 11th on beam and 16th on the floor to come home seventh in the all-around.

Cailey Goodyn did well at her first-ever off-Island competition placing 11th on floor, 14th on vault, 19th on bars and 20th on beam.

Provincial Level 1 Tyro: Kamyrn Kerluck was seventh on bars, 11th on vault, 15th on floor and 16th on beam.

Provincial Level 2 Argo: Chloe Doyon had a great competition winning gold medals on vault and bars, capturing bronze on the beam and placing sixth on the floor to come home as the all-around champion.

Provincial Level 2 Novice: Leah Anderson came home with seventh on vault, ninth on floor, 10th on beam and 13th on bars.

Tyra Moore was eighth on bars, 13th on floor, 14th on vault and 15th on beam.

Level 2 Open: Rebecca Revoy had a good competition capturing the silver medal on vault, bronze on beam, fifth on floor and sixth on bars to come fourth place in the all-around.

Level 3 Argo: Ksenia Stansell stuck a solid vault to capture the silver medal, placed fourth on the bars, fifth on the floor and eighth on beam for sixth in the all-around.

Level 3 Novice: Reese Wheeldon won gold medal on the floor, took silver on beam, bronze on vault and ninth on bars to become the all-around champion.

Level 3 Open: Mackenzie Johnson was fourth on vault, seventh on bars, eighth on floor and 10th on beam.

Level 1 Boys: Frederick Prinsloo came home with a gold status on pommel horse, vault and high bar, took a silver on floor, rings and parallel bars to come home with a silver in the all-around.

Liam Barber took the gold in both floor and vault, earned silver on pommel horse, parallel bars and high bar, and had a bronze on the rings to for silver in the all-around.

Level 3 Boys: Carson Ogg won the gold medal, took the bronze medal on the parallel bars, placed fifth on high bar, eighth on rings, ninth on pommel horse and 13th on vault to win the silver medal in the all-around!

Riley Michael won the silver medal on floor, took fourth on parallel bars, fifth on vault, 11th on rings, 13th on pommel horse and 16th on the high bar to come home seventh in the all-around.

Level 4 Boys: Quinn Kuschel-Ross won the gold on vault, captured silver medals on pommel horse, rings, and high bar, and took the bronze medals on both floor and parallel bars to come home with the bronze medal in the all-around. Liam Deagle won the bronze medal on high bar, was fourth on floor, pommel horse and vault, and finished fifth on both rings and parallel bars to earn fourth place in the all-around.
