This weekend proved to be an exciting time for the U15 Girls Crush Volleyball team.
The girls went undefeated throughout the entire weekend to claim the Island Championship title to an ecstatic home town crowd.
The girls began the weekend by winning their games over Parksville Thunder, Comox Valley Strikers B, and the Victoria A and B teams to finish first in pool play. The next day they beat Parskville Thunder again to advance to the final match, where they defeated the Nanaimo Express in two games straight to claim the Island Championship title. T
eam MVP honours went to middle player Sarah Chase. The girls will now advance to Provincials in Abbotsford on May 4-5 to represent Campbell River.
