The Campbell River wrestling community celebrated the accomplishments of the past season at the 2017/18 Campbell River Wrestling Awards Banquet, held at Carihi on May 3.
The Campbell River Wrestling Association is a diverse group of dedicated coaches, athletes, volunteers and parents, and like past years, there was lots to celebrate at this awards ceremony and dinner. Each year awards are dedicated to the club members that stand out amongst their amazing peers.
This year, a new award was presented, the Brett Lawrason Legacy Award. Brett Lawrason was a great mentor for many Campbell River wrestlers and had a profound influence on some of the current coaches. The association was proud to present the award to Warren Harle, a dedicated steward of SD 72 who helped establish a strong wrestling presence in Campbell River.
