Campbell River boys help power Victoria elite squad to gold in Vancouver tournament

Four Campbell River boys all aged 8 years old were on the gold medal winning team in the Pacific Elite Prospect major novice hockey tournament over the long weeked in Vancouver.

The Island Stars won gold int he Pacific Elite Prospect major novice hockey tournament in vancovuer last weekend. Four Campbell River players are on the Victoria-based team: Kole Andersov, Landon Rossi, Kane Nicolas and Otis Jacques.

Four Campbell River boys all aged 8 years old were on the gold medal winning team in the Pacific Elite Prospect major novice hockey tournament over the long weeked in Vancouver.

Goalie Kole Anderosov and forwards Landon Rosse, Kane Nicholas, and Otis Jacques play for the Island Stars based out of Victoria. They went 5-1 for the tournament and won the gold in a dramatic shootout after 5-5 OT win over the BC Bears, who were their only loss in the first game of the round robin.

Anderosov and Nicholas were named player MVPs over the round robin as well.
