Think globally if you really want to make any change

I strongly suggest that you send your letters and protests to the countries that create the climate damage

Re: Letter by Catherine Slater (“How can you in good conscience promote fossil fuels?” Mirror, Feb. 20)

While I fully agree with the right to say what you want, I strongly suggest that you send your letters and protests to the countries that create the climate damage.

That’s right, I, too, have an opinion and my opinion is that the countries that use coal and oil to power their plants will continue to do so as long as their countrymen demand goods and electricity.

They will get their oil and coal from other countries willing to sell to them and those countries will make profits and create jobs for their people while we languish in our “holier than thou” attitude.

You will never convince anyone to change when all you want to complain to is your politicians.

It’s a global problem so you will have to start thinking that way if you really want to make any change.
