Kelly Kovach’s letter (Conflicts: See the other side, Dec 9, 2015) regarding the humanitarian side of war and our responsibility to step up when others are in crisis, was one of the best letters I’ve ever had the pleasure to read in any newspaper.
This is a perspective that should be brought to light more often. It is very worrisome that images of war almost always focuses on the dark side of humanity (and the destroyers and breakers among us), while the builders and healers (who make up the majority) get no airtime.
