Are you kidding me? How much more “Big Brother” involvement do we need in our lives?
Now you are telling us that the government should tax us on sugar? And that they have the right to tell us what to feed our children? There is no doubt that sugary drinks should be kept to a minimum, but where does this end? No we do not want a “nanny state” and yes, of course, we “treasure” our freedom of choice! This age of “helicopter” (overprotective) parenting also contributes to the change in childhood activities – kids are not allowed to be kids anymore. I think we are overtaxed enough - leave the sugar intake to the parents.
