William Jerome Hingsburger, 93, of Campbell River, BC died August 9th, 2017 at the Campbell River Hospital in B.C. "Jerry" Hingsburger was son of Mike and Laura Hingsburger and brother to Mary, Vesta, and now deceased Margaret and Roy. He was lovingly married for 67 years to Marie Margaret Hingsburger and is father to sons Larry (Doreen) and David (Joe). He is also survived by two grandchildren Eric and Alexis (Jason) and three great grandchildren Ever, Lola and Fara. Jerry worked most of his life for Cominco where he worked in mines or smelters. At 19, Jerry enlisted in the Canadian Army serving during WWII as a stretcher-bearer, he was wounded brining him home. He then lived a quiet life taking care of his family and, in latter years, enjoying his retirement.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The family wishes it known that he received excellent and compassionate care from the staff of Campbell River Hospital and we thank them for the care they took of him and of all of us and especially Dr. S. Lebeuf.
