Oz hammered his last nail on April 25, 2017 after a constructive battle with cancer.

To many Oz was a true friend & neighbor- to his leading lady Laurel he was the handsome blue-eyed teammate at “name that tune” who caught her eye. This led to a long-distance relationship between Courtenay & Calgary. Bill moved back to Black Creek in ‘03 to start his design & carpentry business OZ DESIGNS before working more recently at Home Depot. Bill helped many people build their dreams with his construction skills throughout the Island.

Oz loved Siberian Huskies, the Blues, computers, 3-D animation, horseshoes, cold beer, “Creeker” potlucks, the Canucks, Blue Jays, & Lions. He loved Watson family gatherings, sitting around the table sharing stories long after the meal was over. Bill was known for his honesty and positive can-do attitude, even in the face of cancer over his last 14 months. He was a true gentleman to the end.

Bill will be dearly missed by his lady love Laurel Watson & her entire family and many close friends that were more like kin on Macaulay Road. He is also survived by brother Wayne, his family, and many nieces & nephews among other relatives in Alberta and beyond

He was predeceased by his grandmother Alice and his father Donald.

A celebration of life will be held Sun. Aug 6, 2017 at 4014 Macaulay Road, Black Creek. 1 to 3 pm. All Are Welcome! Please bring a lawn chair.
