Bill passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on June 22, 2007. He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings.

Survived by his loving wife Gayle, married for the past 50 years; his son Mark (Agnes) of Campbell River, grandchildren: Shelby, Michaela and Isaac. Margaret (Peter) of Valemont, BC., grandchildren Thea and Peter William Louis; and daughter Glenda of Duncan, BC, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bill was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, joined the RCMP and was stationed at various locations throughout Saskatchewan. Retiring from the force in 1972 he went into a management position with AGT. His love of fishing brought him to Campbell River every year until he retired and moved here permanently in 1987. He shared his passion with friends and family and was involved with the Campbell River Guides Association. He was also a member of the RCMP Vet's Association.

A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held at the Elk Falls Crematorium & Celebration of Life Centre, Elk Falls Cemetary, Highway 28 at General Hill, Campbell River on Wednesday June 27, 2007 at 1p.m.
