A gentleman and a scholar, Bill will be fiercely missed by his son Robert (Jacqueline), his daughter Hazel (Dale), Eve, his cousin Anne (Eric) in England, his nephew Warren (Lynn) and their children in Banff, and special friends Fred Shout and in particular Jean Mastin.
Bill emigrated to Canada in 1966 and worked as a school principal in Alberta and BC, working at Sayward Elementary Junior Secondary School and various other schools throughout the district.
His quick wit, intelligence, courage and dignity set an example for all of us.
There will not be a funeral or memorial service as per Bill’s wishes, but donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (michaeljfox.org) in Bill’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
