Puderbach, Wilhelm, "W", age 88 of Campbell River passed away Friday, April 2nd, 2021.
Survived by his wife Josephine, children Michael (Jennifer), Tanya (Jeremy), Wolfgang (Mary), Thomas (Karin) and Volker (Gabi), and grandchildren Thomas, Alisa, Noah, Sarah, Brooke, James, Timothy, Andy, Anika, Christina, Christoph, Corinna and Julia as well as his sister Gerlinda and numerous great grandchildren.
Willy worked for many years in the mines starting in Germany, then he emigrated to Canada in 1968 where he continued his mining career.
He always had his own way of doing things and was very determined no matter what. Nearing the end of his amazing life, although he was in pain he would continue to pick blackberries in the backyard and drive to the store to pick up some sweet treats (his favourite were apple fritters and black forest cake).
Willy was not only a kind spirit, he always knew how to put a smile on your face whether it was by talking about his hunting stories, what happened back in the mining days or just reminding you that his feathers are not to be messed with (he calls his hair feathers).
He had a tendency to tell lots of stories which all would start in English, then jump to German and finish in English which had many questioning what the climax of the story was.
Willy will be greatly missed by all, but is now at peace with his dog Guinness.
