September 17, 1923-February 14, 2014

Born in Vancouver, BC, September 17, 1923. Moved from Oceans Falls to Campbell River when Crown Zellerbach opened the mill in 1952. Worked on staff in the Groundwood until his retirement in 1981. Any spare moment he had, you would find him in a boat, either with a fishing rod in his hand or guiding someone else to that elusive tyee. He was the expert fisherman bar none. That is, until he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord & Saviour then he became a fisher-of-men.

He fell asleep on Valentine's Day with his beloved Betty at his side.

Pre-deceased by his younger brothers Norman & Calvin. Survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty; two sons Daniel (Ann) & Mel (Terry); two daughters Sue (Gary) & Colleen (Doug); eleven granddaughters, one grandson & 26 great-grandchildren.

The family extends a huge thank you to Dr. Proctor & Wilf's caregivers for the kindness & empathy shown to our Dad throughout his five years at Yuculta. God bless you.

Flowers gratefully declined.

Memorial to be celebrated February 22, 2014 at Living Waters Fellowship, 2222 Regent Road, Black Creek at 1pm. Pastor Randy Beatty officiating.
