May 3, 2018
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wendy Jean Coward (Dyble) on May 3rd, 2018 at the Campbell River Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

Wendy leaves behind her husband Tom, children Kristin (Arthur) and Brent (Jenna), and her granddaughters Lily and Piper who she adored. She will also be greatly missed by sisters Karen and Lori (Chris), brother Rob (Susan), many nieces and nephews, her aunt Helen and her life long friend Eileen.

She is predeceased by her parents Norman and Lasy Dyble.

Wendy was born in Powell River on July 18th, 1958.  She had a love for music and played the clarinet in the Max Cameron School Band.  After graduating she moved to Victoria and then on to Vancouver to pursue work. In 1978, Wendy met the love of her life Tom.  They moved to Campbell River in 1980 and were married on July 7th, 1984. Wendy began her career when she started working with the Association for Community Living.  She enjoyed her job and found it very rewarding.

Wendy had two beautiful Labradors and loved showing them at various dog shows in the area. Her life passion was sports and hockey above all. Even though the Canucks disappointed her often she was their biggest fan, always faithful and cheering them on.  She was so dedicated and most family events were scheduled around games!  A fan from day one and rarely missed a game.

We would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Prinsloo for his care over the years, as well as to the nursing staff on 3B who took such good care of her during her short stay at the hospital. Wendy had the brightest smile and the biggest heart, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to the BC Children's Hospital and the SPCA.
