Wayne Parry passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2020 in Victoria, BC. He passed away peacefully with his long-time childhood friend Jeff O'Donnell by his side. Wayne showed his strong will and determination while fighting many health challenges following a stroke in 2008. He loved being on his boat and missed it terribly when he could no longer be out on the water.
He was a logger and fisherman and spent a large portion of his life travelling the coastal waters. He grew up in Smelt Bay surrounded by a large extended family, where he enjoyed many family get togethers.
Wayne will be sadly missed but never forgotten. He is survived by his daughter Lorraine Krell (Trevor), grandchildren Vanessa and Ethan, his sister Maryann and brother-in-law Dave McCoy, nephews Dale and Ian McCoy, Neil, Randy and Terry Parry and nieces Cindy, Jennifer, Cindy and Wendy Parry. Wayne will also be fondly remembered by many other aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and close friends, especially Jeff, John and Al.
Wayne is also predeceased by his parents Lillian and Jack Parry, brother Bob, sister-in-law Sharon Parry and nephew Reo McCoy. There is no memorial planned at this time. Please send any condolences to Maryann and Dave McCoy, Cortes Island, BC.
