January 5, 1962- September 9, 2016

It is with the heaviest of hearts and the deepest of sadness that we announce the passing of my brother Wayne Edward Haas - Wayne worked from the age of 15- had a very long career in the logging industry, battling through injury after injury, always giving 110%. Just this year he retired due to illness and up to a few months ago was still working. He enjoyed the simpler things in life like family, children, friends, gardening, animals, and nature. He loved camping, swimming, fishing, boating and taking long walks with his animals.

His sense of humour was forefront- he was constantly looking to tease someone or make them laugh with his storytelling. Many times he volunteered to lend a hand to help others or bail out someone else down on their luck financially- often disregarding his own. He was often stubborn and single minded- but he did things at his pace, in his own way. He was most definitely his own man. Unfortunately fate would lead him down another path and at times hit a few bumps along his road- but he always had best intentions and dreams. He lived hard and played hard - he will be sadly missed by those who loved him.

Survived by his wife Annette, mom Linda Haas (Dave Simmons), sister Lou-Anne Morin (Chris), niece Deanne (Dylan) Tufford, grandniece Abigail Tufford and many other extended famly members.

A memorial service will be held at the Eagles Hall on Friday, September 16th at 1pm.
