Victor Melvin Moon left us on the 19 December, 2014 at the Campbell River Regional Hospital. He was 73 years of age.

Victor was born in Campbell River and raised by his parents Doris and Francis Drake with his siblings; brothers Francis and Peter, and sisters Viola and Doris.

Victor worked as a logger, faller and a commercial fisherman. A very determined and focused man, he always worked hard and strived to never let anyone down. Through his life, Victor’s hobbies included the outdoors, sports fishing and hunting, but he had a very creative side. Victor’s artistic talents were many as shown by the pieces of artwork from cedar wooden bowls to aboriginal paintings and carvings.

Victor was preceded in death by his father and mother, sister Viola, nephew Peter Junior, son-in-law Donovan and loving wife Nellie. He leaves behind brothers Francis and Peter, sister Doris; children Alfredo, Albert, Lilli, Cindy, Glenn, Hank, Melvin, Ken and Vincent as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves many friends who will miss his laughter, sense of humour and conviction.
