It is with great sadness that an industrial accident has taken Vic from us Thursday, September 15, 2005. He left behind his loving wife Cindy Longland and their four year old daughter Hollis. As well, he is survived by his father roy Matheson, and his sisters Margaret, Ruth and Bev.
Vic was a well known independent logger and tugboat operator on the west coast. In his life he touched the lives of many in the coastal communities. Vic was much respected for his hard work, independent spirit and generous nature and will be greatly missed by friends and colleagues.
Go to the ocean and have a toast to Vic and think of his bright and indominatable spirit; may it live on in the daughter he talked so proudly of.
A private celebration of his life was held for family and close friends at our home.
In lieu of flowers; do what Vic would do, go out and make something happen today.
