Tony’s journey began in Greece in 1938. At the young age of 18 he set sail for Canada with $15 in his pocket. After docking in Halifax travelers were given a choice in trains, each leading to a different destination. Tired of travelling Tony chose the shortest trip and arrived in Montreal in 1956.

Within a year he was running his own painting company. By 1960 he paid the way for his sibling to follow from Greece. In 1961 he met and married Rina.

In the mid 1960s Tony and his brother Jim opened a hot dog cart in the heart of Montreal. This is where he discovered his passion for cooking which continued for the majority of his life.

1967 saw Tony relocating to Vancouver and shortly thereafter Vancouver Island where he enjoyed the remainder of his life.”
