September 17, 1942 - June 2, 2024
In loving memory ~
On the morning of June 2, 2024, Terence "Terry" Russell Pennock left this world to sail into the sunset for his next adventure.
Born September 17, 1942 in Regina, SK to Russell and Lorna Pennock. Terry spent his childhood in Weyburn, SK, where he met and married Carol in 1962.
Terry and Carol lived many places in Canada as well as taking their family overseas to Singapore and Jamaica where he taught for the Canadian International Development Agency.
They eventually settled on the west coast in BC at Saratoga Beach in a house they built, taking up sailing on Moderation II and then RVing in the Eleganza. He and Carol spent many happy times exploring the local waters and area and made many friends.
He worked as a teacher, electrician, and was a pioneer in the microcomputer industry, establishing and running Island Microsystems in Campbell River for many years.
He enjoyed his classic cars, travel, dogs, get togethers, learning guitar and had a great sense of humour, appreciation for music and love of family.
Predeceased by parents, Russell and Lorna, he will be remembered by his wife of 61 years Carol; daughters and extended families Wendy Turcotte (Bruce), Ken Kroeger, Brenda Shuttleworth, Daryl Shuttleworth; grandchildren Chris Kroeger (Esther Kuan), Steve Kroeger, Erin Shuttleworth and Malcolm Shuttleworth; great granddaughter Tabitha Shuttleworth; brothers Ray and Kevin; fur baby Geisha, and many friends. We will sure miss you, Terry. Cheers to you and the amazing person you were.
Thanks to VIHA home care, Comox Valley Hospice, and Dr. LeBeuf for the comfort and care they provided.
As was his wish, a small family gathering will be held at a later time.
