Susan Patricia RASPIER

April 2, 2005

Raspier,

Susan Patricia

Feb 10/1961 - Apr 2/2005

Sue is survived by her loving parents Joe & Julie Raspier, Her sister Valerie who is the mother of her 3 beautiful nieces and 1 nephew whom she adored, the man of her dreams Len Olson, her Aunt Kay Raspier, cousin Rob Rosenke, her friends Tracy Lambert & Teresa Charlton & the “gang” Ron & Mary, Ronnie, Joon & Christian.

Sue passed away after a brief but hard fought battle with cancer. Fighting for her life was not a new thing for Sue as she did that most of her days. Sue, being diabetic, experienced almost every hardship that disease dished out. She had already survived 2 kidney transplants, 1 donated by her Mom, numerous surguries, endless bouts in the hospital often near death. The exception was that Sue did it without complaint, she would just say that she was having a bad day and that tomorrow would be better.

Sue loved life, loved the people around her & found the humour in almost everything, even in the disease that was killing her. She even made us promise not to cry when she passed. Of course, like me, I’m sure we all had our fingers crossed when we agreed. Sue often said she had a good life, no regrets & that she already lived longer than expected so she had bonus time.

Truthfully, anyone who knew her knew she was just too stubborn to give in. Sue’s life was lived on her own terms and that was that.

Thank you to all the people who signed the Carihi reunion book last summer.

It provided lots of laughs for Sue & became one of her most prized possessions. Trust me when I tell you the sayings and signatures only got funnier as the night wore on.

Sue wanted to be remembered happily by people, have a few drinks, tell funny stories and no tears. Therefor, if you’d like to join us at the neighbourhood pub on Sat Apr 9th at 1pm we’ll do just that. Please call Teresa 287-7349 if you can make it.

Goodbye our friend, we are simply just going to miss you.
