Stefan Nerreter was born in Nuremburg, Germany, on July 3, 1919. He immigrated to Canada with his wife Else and their children George & Gerlinde in 1956. They made their home in Vancouver, where Stefan worked in his trade as cabinetmaker. He made Campbell River his home since 1986. He passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2005. Heartfelt thanks to the many years Dr. Brown cared for his many medical needs. Also thanks to the many caregivers and nurses that came daily to his home. A big thanks to Pastor Tom for Stefan’s spiritual care. He is survived by his wife Else, son George (Sandra), daughter Gerlinde (Ed Jarvie), grandchildren Andrea (Michael), Lucas, Matthew, Lisa (Scott), Heather (Chris), Carla and great grandchildren Hunter & Elli, his siblings George, Mina & Karola in Germany and Lydia in Vancouver. Memorial Service will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, 201 Birch Street, on Thursday, March 31st at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Red Cross in Campbell River.
