Howard was born February 28th, 1927 in Jordon River, B.C., moving to Quadra Island when he was three years old, not yet knowing that he was a pioneer. Howard logged, gardened, farmed, fished, hunted and worked for B.C. Hydro until retirement.
Howard enjoyed and was at home in the outdoors. He was an avid bottle digger and enjoyed camping and being on the water. There was no one as good as Howard to be in the bush with.
Howard is predeceased by his parents, Reginald and Jean, brothers Rob and Benny. Survived by his brother Dudley (Dody) and sister Jean (Bill). Sons Tim (Linda) and Warren (Annette) and grandsons Adam and Ben. Numerous nieces and nephews.
