NORBJERG, SIGNE MUHLE
1936 – 2010
Predeceased by her husband Knud in 1984. Survived by her children Carsten Norbjerg (Maggie) (ex-wife Lynne), Tina Henderson (James), Anne-Lise Perkins (Fred), Jacob Norbjerg and Bo Norbjerg and her grandchildren Joshua, Michelle, Marie, Mackenzie, Christina, Martin, Victoria, Andrew, Connor, Natasha, Adam, Silas, Soren and her great-grandchild Cameron. She is also survived by her brother Ebbe Muhle and cousins Bodil Larsen and Ole Thorson and many other relatives in Denmark and other parts of Europe.
Signe emigrated from Denmark in 1965 and eventually made her way to Campbell River where she lived for the past 27 years. She was a member of the Vancouver Island Danish Canadian Club and enjoyed attending the various events held by the club in Nanaimo. She loved her family, friends and pets ? ercely. She was an avid gardener and all those who knew her well knew that she was happiest when she could spend a lot of time in her yard (instead of her house) with her beloved pets Copper, Nana and Minuit.
A celebration of her life will be held at 517 Thulin St on Saturday, July 31, 2010 from 1 – 3 PM. Donations in Signe’s name may be made to the SPCA or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
