Sidney Thomas Fry

Died suddenly in his home at Shelter Bay on April 9th, 2006. He is survived by his ex-wife, Dorothy, his daughter Betty Ann Woodcock (Wes) of Port Alberni, his son Robert (Gail) of Terrace, BC, his son Thomas (Sandi) also of Terrace, and his daughter Terry (Larry) of Nanaimo, BC. He also leaves a sister Mary Kersey (Vernon) of Campbell River and a brother Frank (Grace) of Rocky Mountain House Alberta, and six grandchildren, and one great-granchild.

Sid was born at Eston, Saskatchewan on November 9th, 1926 and at 17 he joined the Canadian Army. He was active in the Royal Canadian Legion when he lived in Terrace, BC, and for some time he took up residence in the Yukon and lived the life he loved. He finally settled in Campbell River where he was active as a volunteer at the Community Centre. The Christmas Hamper was another of his projects as he provided the wooden toys for the childrens Christmas. He will be missed.

A Celebration of Sid’s Life will be held Saturday, April 15th, 1:00-4:00 at Campbell River Community Centre. #401-11th Avenue, Campbell River, BC.
