Sheila Marlene Dermody
April 23rd, 1949– September 9th, 2011
Sheila Marlene Dermody - beloved Wife, Mother, Grandma, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend – passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Campbell River Hospital on September 9th, 2011. Sheila courageously battled cancer for 7 years and never lost hope. She inspired everyone with her determination, strength and love. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Garry, her children, Pat (Laura), Chris, Jamie (Sue), Amy (Dean); grandchildren, Meghan, Layne, Ashley, Kaylie, Daniel and Desmond; father Wilson (Eleanor), sister Sharon (Gord), brother Mardy (Martha), brother in-law Gaye (Vicky), family and friends. Sheila was predeceased by her mother Sally, and two stepfathers Lefty and Bill.
Sheila’s caring and loving nature has touched all who knew her.
There will be a celebration of Life at the McPherson’s Funeral Home in Cranbrook, British Columbia between 1:00pm and 4:00pm on Saturday, September 17, 2011. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the lymphoma department of the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
