Passed away on May 9th, 2015 in Campbell River. Shayne was predeceased by his father Michael, brothers Stephen and Eric. He is survived by his partner Mandy (and her children Sherry & Josh), mother Charlotte Rowan and step dad Iain, daughter Ember Rose (and her mom Denise), brothers Michael (Sarah) and Matthew (Cathrine), sisters Ariel and Nerissa (Jason); nieces and nephews Ashley, Anna, Karl, Mackenzie, Hudson, Cyrus, Darwin, Shayanne, Everest, Michael, Destiny, Keegan, Karson, Asia, Madison, Kayden and Matthew, aunt Nancy, uncle Kenny and grandma Sally all of Ontario.
Shayne was a commercial fisherman since a teenager, mining with his dad and a geologist’s helper. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, prospecting, playing his “harps”, beach fires with friends and family camping. Shayne was fiercely protective and devoted to his family and close friends. He had a great love of nature, the ocean and all that walked and crawled, flew, swam or slithered. Wherever he was, guaranteed there would be music and fun. He was known by many and was loved by all.
