It is with sincere sorrow to announce Sandy passed away at Vancouver General Hospital on June 17. She leaves behind her beloved boyfriend Viv, son Wayne (Sheila), grandsons Jody (Kim) and Ryan, sisters Maxine and Amy, niece Lucinda, nephew Darin (RoseMarie), their children Amber and Evan, along with many cousins in Alberta and so many friends and other loved ones. Although Sandy is remembered for her commitment and service to countless organizations, her dedication to the community of Tahsis and the Royal Canadian Legion stand out amongst all. Family and friends would like to acknowledge the staff at the palliative care unit for their kindness, caring and professionalism during Sandy’s last days. Sandy will be sadly missed by all of us.
