RUBY IONE ALLEN (NEE PETERSON)
1923 - 2010
It is with great sorrow the family announce the passing of Ruby Ione Allen. Ruby passed peacefully on March
19, 2010 at the Campbell River & District Regional Hospital, where the nurses made her short stay very comfortable.
Predeceased by her husband Roy, son Robert and her siblings Russ, Wesley, Buddy, and Donnley Peterson, Violet
Mason, and Bessie Mitchell. She is survived by her son Patrick (Frances), her daughter-in-law Jacquie (Bob), her grand daughters Terri Allen, Sandi Allen, and
Jasmine Allen, her great grandchildren Edele Kirk, Jamal Allen and Abigail Morgan, also nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered fondly by Karen Scott, her loyal friend who shared many fun times to the end. Memories of Ruby will always bring smiles to our faces.
Ruby was born on a farm in Francoise Lake, BC spending all her childhood there. Her love of animals, kind and thoughtful ways, her dignity and sense of humour will be remembered by family, friends, and neighbours.
Ruby was an entrepreneur for 35 years in Campbell River. She started and managed the Beach Haven private care home for the elderly at Storries Beach, after which she established The Dorrie Shoppe as a licensed Corsetierre and managed this until she retired 10 years ago.
The family thanks Dr. Larry Ness for taking such good care of Ruby over the years and thanks the nurses on the 3rd ? oor for their attentiveness to Ruby's and the family's needs.
