Roselean Teresa Johnson

Nov 26, 1934- Sept 2, 2013

After a valiant and courageous 4 year battle with cancer, it is with great sadness we announce that our beloved Rose passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love, with Nick and daughter Merlene holding her hand. Rose was predeceased by her son Miles, and great grandson Dean.

She is survived and so deeply missed by her soulmate, Nick Powszedny, daughters Merlene and Jacqueline, son John and daughter-in-law Pani. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Jesse, Tenile, Laura, Eric, Demi-Rose, Jacob, Sellina, Gage and Elijah, and also very special great granddaughter Katherine. She also leaves to mourn numerous family members in Saskatchewan, and many friends both near and far.

The family would like to say a special thank-you to everyone that came by and helped Rose on her way during the last difficult days, especially Mrs. Adeline Lippart and Donna Mcmillian. Your soft touch and gentle strength were a great comfort to her and all of us. The Homecare Nurses, Marlene and Barb, were invaluable and so appreciated. Also thank you to the Canadian Red Cross. You all contributed to give Rose the best of what was so very hard for all of us.

Rose loved life and would want us to continue enjoying ours. Please, in her memory, “Pay It Forward” and do something else, just because you can. We love you, Rose, always.

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;

I am not there. I did not die.
