Rose Marie Johnson of Campbell River passed away February 3rd in Yaculta lodge. 

She had been a resident for almost five years. She is survived by her husband Roy and four sons; Mark (Sheila), Gordon (Kelly), Neal and Michael (Kathryn). 

She is also survived by grandchildren Charlene (Shannon), Tyler (Bo), Taylor (Andrew), Kelsey (Ryan), Kailyn and Nathan. Also, a great grandson Samuel. 

She is survived by four brothers and five sisters, who called her the lion tamer.  As well as many nieces and nephews.

Rose graduated as a psychiatric nurse from Selkirk Mental hospital in 1957. She married Roy in 1959 and she, Roy and the boys moved to BC in 1964 where Michael was born.

Rose worked for many years in the C.R. general hospital. She enjoyed taking in the sun in California and Arizona in January and February where they vacationed for many years. She also liked to crochet and spent countless hours playing cards with all her grandchildren. 

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 17th at 1:00 pm at Elk Falls Crematorium and Reception Centre, Elk Falls Cemetery, Highway 28 at the top of General Hill, Campbell River.
