Passed away at the Campbell River District General Hospital September 14th., 2003, with her family at her side.
Rosa was born November 30th, 1920, in London, England and arrived in Halifax Harbour as a war bride November 17th., 1944. She and her husband, Ray, resided briefly in Kenora, Ontario, then settled permanently in Campbell River in 1947. Ray predeceased her in 1978. Rosa was also predeceased by her eldest sister Mina Newfield, and brothers Andrea and Peter. She is survived by her son Peter (Edwina), daughter Roberta Weber-Smith (Colin), her grandchildren Tony, Mike and Nadine, and the delight of her last years, great grandchildren Cole and Megan.
Also to mourn her passing are her sisters Fina (London, England), Bina (Paris, France), niece, Rosamund (Toronto) and their families, as well as good family friend Brian McConnan.
