Robert Eugene Tremblay

April 23, 1922 – October 7, 2009


Born on April 23, 1922 in Debden Saskatchewan and passed away at the Campbell River Hospital.

In 1934 the family moved to Victoria. When Bob was 16 years old he joined the Navy for 1 year aboard the HMCS Rajpatana.

He met and married Aurore Carpentier in 1943. He later joined the Navy again this time aboard the Chaudier until the end of the war.

They had 3 children, Raymond (Connie), Larry (Donna), Linda (Dan). In 1950 Bob and Aurore and his parents bought the Oyster Bay Resort and built it up into a thriving business. They then sold in 1963 at which time they bought Miracle Service in 1970. Later they moved to Catherwood Road where Bob created Bob’s Burl Craft working with his joy of wood and his lovely Aurore by his side.

From Catherwood Road he finally decided it was time to retire which he did with Aurore at Rockland Ridge. Bob and Aurore celebrated their 66th wedding annivesary in August 2009.

They were blessed with 7 grandchildren and 9 great grand children.

A memorial service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion #137. 301-11th Avenue, Campbell River at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 16, 2009.
